Michael Pinna is a Partner based in Buchbinder’s New Jersey office, bringing over 30 years of extensive experience in Information Technology to his role as the practice leader of the firm’s IT Audit & Assurance Group.

With a strong focus on System and Organization Controls (SOC) reporting, Michael provides specialized IT audit and assurance services. He possesses deep knowledge in cybersecurity, conducting IT risk assessments, vulnerability scans, compliance management, and addressing security and privacy risks. Additionally, Michael has expertise in Sarbanes-Oxley IT controls, disaster recovery, business continuity training, and documenting/testing IT controls to support the firm’s audit clients across diverse industries.

Joining Buchbinder in 2016 as an IT Audit Manager, Michael quickly earned recognition for his exceptional skills and dedication. In 2022, he was promoted to the position of Partner, reflecting his significant contributions to the firm’s success.
