Aside from being proactive and responsive to his clients, Jeffrey Richman communicates about tax issues in a straightforward, easy to understand manner and strives to put clients at ease whenever possible.

A partner in the New York office, Jeffrey has more than 30 years of experience as a tax professional. He works closely with small and medium-sized privately held and family-owned businesses in professional service industries such as law firms and medical practices. He also works with clients in the manufacturing, jewelry and real estate industries.

Jeffrey oversees the preparation of tax returns for his clients and conducts interim tax research and planning throughout the year. He provides tax planning to high net worth individuals, has extensive experience with compliance matters pertaining to individuals, partnerships and privately held and family-owned businesses, and is well versed in working with trusts and estates and private foundations. Jeffrey also represents clients before federal and state tax authorities.

The Complicated Made Easy

Advising his clients on the best way to minimize their tax liabilities while keeping compliant with regards to the ever-changing tax laws and filing requirements, Jeffrey places importance on deconstructing complex issues at hand. He always makes sure a client is well informed, knows what the ramifications and alternatives are, and what approaches to take – without the complications of tax jargon.

Always one to find the subject of tax satisfying, Jeffrey takes a pragmatic approach to client engagements without breaking the rules, pointing to client care and well-being as paramount.

In his spare time, Jeffrey enjoys reading, photography, travel, and going to the beach or the mountains to find respite from New York City.

Jeffrey earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the State University of New York at Albany and a Master of Science in Taxation from the Lubin School of Business at Pace University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is licensed to practice in New York State.
