Joe Musher to Speak at the Trustees and Administrators Institutes for the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans
Bethesda, MD December 12, 2014 – On February 9, 2015, Joe Musher will be speaking at the 2015 Trustees and Administrators Institutes hosted by the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans in Orlando, Florida.
The first of two sessions, Finding and Fighting Fraud, will examine best practices and internal controls to help you reduce the chances of fraud. Topics will include the types of fraud, warning signs, policies and recent case studies. The second session, Preparing for and Surviving a DOL Audit, will include information on the preparation, flow and process, best practices and differences in DOL regional offices.
Joe, a partner in Buchbinder’s Bethesda, Maryland office, specializes in employee benefit plans, labor unions, privately held and family-owned businesses and tax planning. He has authored many articles for the International Foundation including “Fraud Detection and Prevention,” “Statement of Position 92-6-Accounting and Reporting by Health and Welfare Benefit Plans,” and “DOL Investigations: The Mystery Unraveled.”
