An audit is required for plans that have more than 100 participants. As part of the audit process, we prepare Form 5500 “Annual Employee Benefit Plan,” Form 990 “Return of Organization Exempt from Income Tax,” and “Summary Annual Report to Participants.” We also perform payroll audits of certain contributing employers to make sure contributions have been accurately made to the benefit funds as agreed upon in the collective bargaining agreements.
