Do You Have Questions About Your Stimulus Check? The IRS Adds Phone Operators to Help
The IRS is adding 3,500 phone representatives to answer questions from taxpayers about their stimulus checks. The phone number is listed in the letter that accompanies the economic impact payment that taxpayers receive in the mail.
Answers for most economic impact payment questions are available on the automated message when people call the phone number. Those who need additional assistance at the conclusion of the message will have the option of talking to a telephone representative.
In addition to the new phone representatives, the IRS provides comprehensive FAQs on IRS.gov that is frequently updated. The FAQs include information about stimulus checks, Get My Payment tool and Non-Filers tool.
