Buchbinder's Support System
At Buchbinder, we understand that the entry level is a short stop in a long career. At every level, we aim to provide the training, support, and technical resources to help you realize your growth objectives within the firm. At the core of this support system is our staff mentoring program. Entry level accounting professionals are assigned a mentor who stays with them through the senior level. For new hires, your mentor will meet with you a minimum of three times within the first 90 days to ease transition into the Buchbinder community. For staff that have accelerated beyond this initial phase, mentoring occurs periodically, or as needed. Together, we will set goals to ensure you maximize your career potential.
In the ever-changing accounting world, education is key to keeping up to date. All professional staff, whether licensed or not, are required to meet a 40-hour CPE requirement annually. Through a combination of in-house and external seminars and online resources, we can ensure that you will be kept fully up to date on changes in tax law, accounting practice and regulation, as well as software, best practices, and soft-skills training.
Opportunity for growth is a mutually beneficial goal. Buchbinder staff are assigned work at higher levels of responsibility and at greater levels of complexity as soon as they are prepared for the challenge. We know that encouraging your growth in this way means that we will have a motivated, well trained staff, ready to become the next generation of Buchbinder leaders. Such is the case for many of our current partners, who "grew up" with Buchbinder.
Buchbinder visits several area college campuses each year. Check with your university career center for information on when we may visit your campus. Alternatively, to apply for one of our advertised positions or to introduce yourself to our firm, please view our Open Positions.
