Audit Intern
The Firm seeks Tax Interns to perform a variety of client services, including attest, accounting, and tax services, as well as audit support functions. The candidate will work alongside staff and under the supervision of more experienced auditors. Ongoing feedback to promote learning and growth will be provided. Audit interns may be considered for subsequent employment opportunities. Opportunities are available in our New York, NY, Jericho, NY, Bethesda, MD, and Little Falls, NJ offices.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare workpapers related to audit or attest services.
- Review and analyze client financial records.
- Prepare templated and ad hoc schedules, reports, and analyses, as needed.
- Keep colleagues, managers, and partners informed of progress and the need to make adjustments to scheduled work.
- Represent the Firm in a positive light by maintaining a professional demeanor, dress, and attitude at all times.
Qualifications:
- 45+ credits of undergraduate coursework at an accredited college in pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or similar commitment to a graduate program in Accounting, or equivalent education.
- Flexibility to travel to client locations periodically in the local region of the office; access to reliable transportation strongly preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite; must have strong Excel skills.
- Ability to commit to a minimum of 15 hours a week (opportunities for fulltime also available) during regular working hours, Monday-Friday, 9am-5:30pm.
