The Firm seeks an experienced Administrative Assistant to handle a variety of administrative needs, primarily concerning coordination of the time & billing function and assisting in tax administration support.  This position is based in our Little Falls, New Jersey office.   Responsibilities:
  • Maintain time & billing records using CCH Practice Management software
  • Type and process client invoices
  • Work with partners to develop effective, useful analytical reports
  • Update Continuing Professional Education records of all professional staff using Checkpoint Learning
  • Type correspondence
  • Work with the Tax Administrator to support the needs of the Tax Department, including assisting with e-file process, assisting in tickler updates, following up with partners regarding deadlines, authorizations pending, and other time-sensitive client matters.
  • Process incoming tax documents by bar-coding and scanning into GoFileRoom (cloud-based filing system).
  • Pitch in when needed in a variety of administrative functions.
  Qualifications:
  • 5+ years’ experience as a receptionist or administrative assistant, preferably in a public accounting setting or other professional environment
  • Strong administrative skills (organized, timely turnaround, good verbal and written skills, deadline-conscious, etc.)
  • Personable, friendly, and professional demeanor
  • Ability to manage the needs of multiple partners at once.
  • Minimum High School diploma required
  • English fluency with excellent spoken and written communication skills
  • Mastery of Microsoft Word required
  • Adaptability to new software and technology
  • Strong attention to detail

The Firm seeks a Bookkeeper to address a variety of client bookkeeping needs. This position is based in our NYC office.   Responsibilities:
  • Post entries to GL
  • Prepare bank deposits and bank reconciliations
  • Process payroll
  • Prepare sales tax and payroll tax returns
  • Issue checks
  • Maintain frequent contact with client personnel by phone and e-mail
  • Maintain strict confidentiality
  • Administrative and clerical internal functions, as needed.
  Qualifications:
  • 0-3 years bookkeeping experience in a public accounting setting
  • Strong familiarity with payroll, payroll tax, and sales tax
  • Ability to manage multiple clients at once.
  • Minimum Associate's degree in business or accounting required
  • Certified Bookkeeper preferred
  • Personable, friendly, and professional demeanor
  • English fluency with excellent spoken and written communication skills
  • Mastery of QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel required
  • Familiarity with Creative Solutions, Quicken, ADP and PayChex preferred
  • Flexibility to travel throughout New York City
